I agree with DookDook. If you want a soup recipe home for your fuzzy, here's what I use. The rescue I work with uses as well.
4 boxes of Gerber baby food chicken, 1 can of dog food prescription A / D (tell your veterinarian what you do and they will sell it to you or you can get a script for it), and 2 tablespoons pumpkin soup.

A: Ferrets can get colds and allergies but this sounds like it could be a respiratory infection. They need to see a vet. Mucus in your pets is always a bad thing. They probably needs antibiotics and drops. Very important to go the the vet.

It’s called Duk soup because the person who invented it used it for their ferret named Duck who was really sick and it helped him get better. Here is a better soup. 6 chicken thighs with skin all boiled up. Keep the broth it boiled in, about 3 cups of it anyway. Remove the bones. 1 cup of good kibble like EVO, or GO natural break the chicken into small pieces add the chicken broth. Blend it all up. Then add the kibble, blend it all up. Lasts me 3 days in the fridge for 7 ferrets.
