SCBWI Conference Celebrates 40th Anniversary with Record Turnout

A surprise guest appearance by Judy Blume to the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators annual summer conference in Los Angeles was the 40th anniversary of the organization even more significant for the record number of participants, including Writers, illustrators, publishers, editors, and agents. Nearly 1350 people attended the conference, which took place August 4 to 8 at the Century Plaza Hotel.
